MetPlas Apprentice Puts Machining Skills on Display

MetPlas applauds Cameron Fouse for his participation in the 2024 Apprentice Competition located at the Westmoreland Advanced Technology Center in Mt. Pleasant, PA. The competition was on February 16, 2024, and was hosted by MSC Industrial Supply and the Pittsburgh Chapter NTMA. He was one of eight local apprentices competing for the title of Best Steel Working Apprentice in Southwestern PA.

As one of 5 apprentices currently employed at MetPlas, Cameron did an excellent job representing MetPlas in the competition and we thank him for representing the company so well.  MetPlas offers a State-Certified Apprenticeship Program in conjunction with the NTMA (National Tooling & Manufacturing Assoc.).  Highlights of the program include:

Four-year, state-certified program to earn your journeyman papers in Machining.

  • Four-year, state-certified program to earn your journeyman papers in Machining.
  • On the job hours count towards the program
  • Classroom portion is sponsored by the NTMA in conjunction with local technical schools
  • MetPlas provides a tuition reimbursement program for all four years.
